Why You Should Attend our Rally
Our annual RV campout allows you to find community on the road while RVing to, within and from Alaska. Join us for a week of fun, food and friendship with like-minded travelers who are also RVing around Alaska from all over the North America and beyond.
Campground Setting
Join us as we take over the beautiful Tolsona Wilderness Campground offering several types of campsites to choose from with over half offering electric and water at your site as well as a group boondocking area.
Great Activities
Lots of activities are planned throughout the week including daily happy hours and campfires, a game night, group hikes, coordinated excursions and so much more.
Meet New People
There is nothing better than making new friendships on the road. At our Rally we make it easy for you to connect with like-minded folks on the road to Alaska.
Have Fun
The most important goal of our Rally is to have fun. We purposely don't jam pack the schedule so you can enjoy your time in camp or you may explore the Copper River Basin on your own.

Arrival & Rally Check-In
Please plan to arrive to the campground between the hours of 12pm and 4pm. All sites have been pre-assigned prior to arrival except for Rally sites. If you are traveling with other RV's and are in the Rally group section be sure to arrive together to guarantee we can park you together. Check-in at the Party Pavilion once you are parked and settled.

Welcome Gathering
Bring your chairs and your favorite beverages down to the Party Pavilion and meet your fellow RV2AK Rally members for our first Happy Hour gathering of the Rally.

Dinner is Served! After a long day of driving who wants to cook dinner! Don't worry we've got you covered! Enjoy a hot meal on us catered by a local food truck.

Off-Site Excursion Tours
Let us book you an excursion at one of the local tour companies in the Copper Valley Basin. From scenic flights to whitewater rafting, king salmon fishing or a scenic float we will be working to bring you some amazing tours to our Rally. These tours will be in addition to your Rally registration costs and as soon as we know what tours will be offered and the pricing we will release that information when it becomes available.

Breakfast Potluck
The famous RV2AK Breakfast Potluck. Bring your favorite breakfast dish, a plate and flatware and join your fellow rally members for a breakfast to remember. It is amazing all the wonderful items that our members make for this unusual group meal.

Want to peck our brain on anything RVing to Alaska? Here's your chance to ask away. Anything goes so bring your questions and learn something new from your Alaskan hosts Stacey and Gary.

Guided Group Hike to the Tolsona Mud Volcano
Join us for a 2 mile (out and back) wilderness hike out to the Tolsona Mud Volcano. Except for a bare region at the crest, the volcano is covered by brush and trees. At the crest, thirty to forty vents bubble out methane gas and water laced with sodium chloride and calcium chloride salts. The turbulent bubbling of the gas causes mud to be carried up with the water for deposition around the edges of each vent. (This is a moderate level bush whacking hike activity.)

Happy Hour
Come on down to the Party Pavilion for our 2nd Happy Hour of the Rally. Mix and mingle with your new friends and chat about what you did today.

Game night is always a fun night at the Rally. Bring your favorite traveling games to the Party Pavilion be it Ladder Ball, Corn Hole, Molkky, or Left Right Center or whatever it is you play and plan to have a good time sitting around the fire or getting in on the action.

Roam around camp during tonight's happy hour to meet your neighbors before dinner. Just be sure to save room for desert ... because tonight is our famous Alaskan Waddinger Campfire Cookout.

Movie Night Under the Sun
With the midnight sun it sometimes can be a little difficult to watch a movie outdoors but the Staff at Tolsona Wilderness have got that figured out with some extra long curtains and a blow up movie screen to bring to you a Movie Under the Sun. So pull up your chairs and grab some popcorn and lets go to the movies together!

RV Home Show Tour
Tour and learn more about your fellow Rally Member's homes on wheels. This activity takes 2-3 hours to complete the circuit so be sure to put on your walking shoes. (Signup to show off your home during checkin.)

Final Happy Hour & Group Photo
Put on your Rally Shirt and come down to the Party Pavilion for our final happy hour where we will take the official 2024 RV2AK Rally Group Photo at 4:30pm.

Departure
As much as we would love to continue the party all good things must come to an end. If you do not have additional reservations made directly through the campground to extend your stay now would be time to continue on your way down the road so the campground staff can begin to prepare for their weekend campers that are on the inbound. As always safe travels and until next time.
Our schedule is continually adjusting as we continue to plan for the Rally. Times and Activities are subject to change at any time. Be sure to check back often.
Event Pricing FAQs
Event pricing is based on the type of RV Site reserved AND how many individuals will be attending the Rally. There is no break in price if you decide to arrive late or leave early. Pricing includes all campground fees for 4 nights, a Rally Welcome Bag for each RV Site, Event T-Shirts for all adult attendees, a Fully Catered Arrival Dinner the first evening of the Rally as well as some activities TBA provided by RVing to Alaska LLC. Please note any Offsite Excursion Tours that will be available during the Rally are at an additional cost. Those activities and prices will be announced as we get closer to the event date.
Please note weekends are very busy at Tolsona Wilderness Campground and they are usally SOLD OUT due to themed weekends centered around children activities. If you would like to come in a few days early before the Rally starts on Sunday, July 21st or stay after the Rally ends on Thursday, July 25th, reservations must be made directly with the campground well in advance. You can book directly at www.tolsonacampground.com. Also if you would like to volunteer to help with setup we do ask that you try and come at least one day early, therefore make sure you make your additional reservations as soon as possible.
Once tickets go on sale on March 1, 2024, we will update each day how many tickets remain in each category. Most electric sites sell out quickly therefore if having hookups is important to you plan to book as early as possible. Once a category sells out you may request to be upgraded onto a waitlist. To be placed on the waitlist please leave a note in the comments section provided during the registration checkout and we will try out best to accomodate your upgrade request.

- Yurts are available to rent if you do not have an RV or wish to have additional people attend the Rally but not in your RV. All yurts have electric, heat, and can sleep up to six people. The yurt sites have fire rings and picnic tables and are located close to water access. Yurts do not have bedding or linens. You must provide those yourself. Registration price includes an event t-shirt for 1 adult and one catered meal on arrival day. (3 Yurts Available)

2024 Rendezvous Dates Announced!
We are excited to announce our 4th Annual RVing to Alaska Rendezvous Rally will once again be held at Tolsona Wilderness Campground in centrally located Glennallen, Alaska from Sunday, July 21st to Thursday, July 25th, 2024. Ticket will go on sale March 1, 2024 at 10am Alaska Standard Time.
Another year and another great RVing to Alaska Rendezvous is in the books!
This year our RVing to Alaska members came together at the Tolsona Wilderness Campground for a week of fun, food and friendship in the middle of the famous Copper River Basin July 9th through the 13th, 2023!

Rally FAQ's
Do I have to book all four nights during the Rally?
Yes. It’s a package deal and can’t broken up by how many days you can stay. You can leave early or come late but you will be paying for the entire event. No refunds for unused time.
What are the RV Sites like?
This depends on the type of site you book… but you will see why they call it Tolsona Wilderness Campground. Each site is nestled under tall old growth spruce trees with over half of the campground sites with creekside views. All sites except the Group Sites offer fire rings and picnic tables and plenty of privacy not found in many RV parks of Alaska.
Can I book a Yurt instead of an RV Site?
Absolutely. We have a small limited number of yurts available to use if you do not have an RV or need extra space due to extra guests with your party. The cost of a Yurt is separate from an RV site but still have access to all Rally activities and events.
Do we eat all meals together?
No. We share a total of three meals together as a group. The first night is our fully catered arrival dinner where you leave the cooking up to us. The other two meals we will be having together is a potluck breakfast on Monday morning and a potluck dinner on Wednesday. All other meals you are responsible for on your own. Note every evening we do hold a happy hour at 4pm and evening activities will reconvene at 7pm.
What is the Cancellation/Refund Policy for the Rally?
To cancel, simply email [email protected] with your confirmation number, main campsite guest’s name and the reason for cancellation. Cancellation requests received on or before Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024 will receive a complete refund minus an administration fee of $65. Cancellation requests received between May 23rd, 2024 and June 21st, 2024 will receive a refund in the amount of 50% of their registration costs. There will be NO refunds after June 21st, 2024. No Exceptions.
